I'm sure all parents, including myself, are a little uneasy sending their kids back to school given the ongoing surge of COVID-19 cases in Louisiana. The good news is our schools have had a lot of practice utilizing safety protocols and following COVID La Health Dept./ CDC guidelines. They put a lot of hard work into keeping our kids safe and we want to commend them for it.

CPSB Connected Classrooms are still an option for students in SWLA. The deadline to enroll in online learning has been extended to August 20, due to the recent mask mandate issued by Gov. Edwards on August 2. The CPSB 2021-2022 Back-To-School Plan has been released and includes a student protocol and COVID screening overview, as well as other important schoolboard operations info.

Parents and guardians of students from Pre-K through 8th grade will not have to worry about getting basic school supplies this year thanks to the CPSB and their partners. Please note, additional supplies may be needed depending on each school. To view the list of pre-packaged supplies being provided, click here. Below is the new 2021-2022 CPSB Calendar.
