A Louisiana State Police Trooper who was arrested on a domestic violence charge bonded out of jail; investigators say they have audio of his wife saying, "He's punching me," according to a report on WBRZ based on court documents.

According to the report, there is some video of the incident, but Trooper James Jefferson III and his wife are out of the range of the camera the audio is still rolling and picks up the woman saying not only, "He's punching me," but also "don't throw me on the ground."

What New Information Has Been Learned About The Case?

If was a relative who called for help from the Baton Rouge Police Department after hearing some sort of trouble between Jefferson and his wife. He was arrested on the scene but has since bonded out. He has been placed on administrative leave following the incident as the police and the administration at Louisiana State Police will investigate it.

Both The Trooper And His Wife Deny There Was A Physical Altercation

Yesterday, we shared the report with you that Trooper Jefferson had been arrested on a charge of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment. According to the documents, both Jefferson and his wife deny that a physical fight happened. Both are saying they did have a verbal battle.

WBRZ reports that Jefferson gave an interview to Baton Rouge Parents magazine and said the following,

Parenthood has changed me for the better. You're more cautious about how you live life. You're very calculated about the things that you do and the way that you go about presenting yourself to your kids. Also, patience, for me, has been a big thing.
