Louisiana Man Allegedly Abducts 2 Teenagers, ‘Gruesome Details’
Shreveport Police Department officials report that a man from their city has been arrested after being accused of allegedly kidnapping two teenagers and trying to assault them sexually. According to Shreveport Police Department Corporal Chris Bordleon, a spokesman with the department, one of the teenagers was able to escape from the man to get help.
Bordelon says that two teenagers were walking down a roadway at two o'clock in the morning on Thursday, February 6, after visiting a friend when a man named Jeffrey Reed drove up next to them. One teen was 13 and the other 14.
How Did The Alleged Perpetrator Approach The Teens?
The teenagers got into Reed's car, thinking he would be taking them home, but Reed allegedly drove them to a motel at the 3900 block of Greenwood Road and would not let them leave.
Louisiana Radio Network had a chance to interview Corporal Bordelon about what they know so far in this case. Bordelon says,
He took them to a motel. Once inside the motel, the juveniles gave a pretty gruesome interview of what had occurred. Ultimately, one of them was able to escape.
What Are The Charges Against Reed?
Reed has been charged with the following, according to the Shreveport Police Department:
- Two Counts of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile
- Two Counts of Simple Kidnapping
- One Count of False Imprisonment
Bordelon says the things Reed has been accused of are heinous,
He (Reed) turned on pornography and attempted to have sex with one of the juveniles. Ultimately, the juveniles gave a very intense interview in which they described some pretty heinous things, so we're very happy to have him in custody.
Officials say they had to use a Taser on Reed during his arrest as he was being resistant. They are asking parents to stay vigilant and always know where their children are.
