This has been a popular question over the last few years: will fans of the New Orleans Saints be able to watch their team in the Shreveport-Bossier TV market? The reason this question gets asked a lot during the season is because the market has missed numerous Saints games over the last few years.

Who Decides Which NFL Game Gets Shown In A Market?

Our local Shreveport TV broadcasters don't make these decisions. Which games get shown in what markets gets decided by the NFL and the major broadcasting partners. This means the broadcast decisions are being made at the highest levels within the NFL, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, and the NFL Network. Once they make their decisions, it is pushed down to the local markets.

Sometimes, but very rarely, a local market can request the ability to change their coverage, and have the request granted. But that's not something that normally happens.

According to 506Sports, this will be the second week in a row the Saints will be carried by CBS. Traditionally the Saints, an NFC team, are broadcast on Fox. But with last night being a late window, single game for this market, CBS had the coverage. Now, with the Buffalo Bills (AFC team) being the home team, the broadcast will land on their natural network...CBS.
