Several Shreveport Groups Are Hosting USA World Cup Watch Parties

The USA men's national soccer team is in action on Friday for a huge match in World Cup Play. The guys will be taking on Australia in the second match for the Americans. The US won their first game against Paraguay 4-1 in group D action. Australia also has a win in round one. So this is a huge game for dominance of this group. Where's the best place to watch the match in the Shreveport area?

The win over Paraguay marks the most goals the U.S. has ever scored in a single World Cup game. This is a great squad. I'm really excited about the future of these guys and the possibility of winning it all.

Several local spots will be hosting watch parties on Friday for the big match up against Australia.

7th Tap in on Linwood in Shreveport will be hosting a watch party and you can expect high energy during this event. During the match against Paraguay, the place was on fire. People are so excited about this team.

Marilyn's Place is also hosting a watch party to benefit the YMCA youth sports programs. This event is happening from 2-4pm and will include a game area for children including soccer balls and goals. Marilyn's Place is teaming up with the Chop Shop to provide a great variety of food for this event. Parking will be available at Madison Square next door and on the neighborhood streets.

Summer Grove Baptist Church is also hosting a FIFA World Cup watch party on Friday. They will also have games for children as part of this event.
