Will New Orleans Saints Football Return To Shreveport TV This Weekend?

After a weekend without New Orleans Saints football being skipped in Shreveport, the black and gold are set to return to the Shreveport-Bossier TV market. But its not going to be the same scheduling style you might be used to.

The New Orleans Saints Will Face The Seattle Seahawks In Week 3

This weekend, the Saints will travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in their first road game of the year. Being a west coast game, the start time for the game will fall into the "late window" of kickoffs on Sunday.

Traditionally, the first kickoff on an NFL Sunday is 1pm Eastern, which is 12pm Shreveport time. The "late window" traditionally starts between 3:05pm and 3:25pm Central time (which is Shreveport's time zone).

This Sunday's Saints and Seahawks game gets the 3:05pm kickoff slot.

The Saints Game Will Be On TV In The Shreveport Market This Week

Unlike last week, when the New Orleans Saints were not available in the local Shreveport market, this week's game will be carried locally. This is according to 506 Sports, a website that tracks sports coverage in local markets.

The Week 3 broadcast for the Saints will land on CBS, which means that even though the Saints will be broadcast, the local station will only carry that game on Sunday. No early game will be available on CBS.

Instead, the early game locally will be the Fox broadcast for Shreveport. Instead of being the Las Vegas at Washington game, where LSU fans could see former Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels play (which is what the Baton Rouge and New Orleans TV markets will get), Shreveport and Bossier will be given the Los Angeles Rams at the Philadelphia Eagles.

The local Shreveport market could have also been given the New York Jets at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, or the Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers, which all feature NFC South teams.

Will The Dallas Cowboys Be On TV In Shreveport This Weekend?

While CBS will only have one game in the Shreveport market this weekend, Fox will have two. The early game will be the Rams vs Eagles game we mentioned above, but their late game will be the Dallas Cowboys visiting the Chicago Bears.

This will be Fox's main game for the weekend, and will feature their "A-list" broadcast team of Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady. In our local market, this Cowboys game will go head-to-head with the Saints game on CBS in Shreveport-Bossier.
