28 Louisiana Restaurants That Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Has Visited
Louisiana has no shortage of places Guy Fieri would love, and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives has already proven that. The current Louisiana list shows 28 restaurants featured by the show, and while Shreveport-Bossier has plenty of spots locals would nominate, none of the current Louisiana visits are in northwest Louisiana.
Most of the featured restaurants are in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, which makes this list feel a lot like a road map for a serious south Louisiana food run.

New Orleans Leads the Way
Not surprisingly, New Orleans dominates the Louisiana DDD list with 15 restaurants:
The Joint
The Creole Creamery
Casamento’s Restaurant
Surrey’s Cafe
Parasol’s Bar & Restaurant
Joey K’s Restaurant & Bar
Sammy’s Food Service & Deli
Mahony’s Po-Boy Shop
Katie’s Restaurant
The Old Coffee Pot Restaurant
Bourree at Boucherie
Red’s Chinese
Turkey and the Wolf
Marjie’s Grill
Avery’s on Tulane
Seither’s Seafood
Piece of Meat
Yes, that is where the list really stacks up, and it shows just how much national food attention New Orleans still draws.

Baton Rouge Has a Strong Showing
Baton Rouge comes in next with seven restaurants:
Parrain’s Seafood
Capital City Grill
Iverstine Butcher
Phil’s Oyster Bar and Seafood
Dempsey’s
Elsie’s Plate & Pie
Al-Noor Kitchen
That gives Baton Rouge a strong second-place finish on the statewide list.
Other Louisiana Cities on the List
A few more cities also make the cut:
Jefferson
The Rivershack Tavern
Mandeville
Louie & the Redhead Lady
Port Allen
Cou-Yon’s
Slidell
La Pines Cafe
What Shreveport-Bossier Readers Will Notice
The biggest local takeaway is simple. Shreveport-Bossier is not on this list, at least not yet. That may surprise a lot of people around here, especially with the number of local spots that have loyal followings and plenty of personality. Still, if you want to build a Louisiana Triple D bucket list, this gives you 28 places to start.
