Who is Playing at Red River Revel 2026? Official Music Lineup Announced
The energy was absolutely electric Tuesday night at the Red River Revel concert lineup announcement. I was inside the room, and the vibe was completely insane, there were literally birthday cakes on every single table!
It felt like the ultimate community birthday party, and honestly, how else would you celebrate 50 years of the goodness of the Red River Revel?
To mark this massive half-century milestone, our favorite downtown tradition is returning to Festival Plaza for two epic weekends: October 8th through the 11th and October 15th through the 18th, 2026.
This year, the team put a massive emphasis on booking musical acts with deep, homegrown ties to the Shreveport region. Executive Director Logan Lewis nailed it when he said it just felt right to make the 50th Revel about us. After all, the Revel was built by local volunteers and vendors, so this music lineup is a direct reflection of the community that gave it to the world.
Opening night on October 8th kicks off with a spectacular fireworks and drone show to celebrate 50 years of both the Revel and the Independence Bowl. From there, the music lineup is pure perfection.
Take a look at these headliners:
Weekend One (October 8th–11th)
The American Tragedy featuring the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra: Shreveport’s own rock legends are playing their first show in 5 years, backed by a totally original orchestral composition.
Cowboy Mouth: Bringing that high-energy, New Orleans rock-and-jam vibe.
Squonk: The rock opera group that blew everyone away at Revel 49 is back with a brand-new outdoor spectacle called "Joy Machine."
Jeter Jones: The award-winning southern soul and blues artist repping Shreveport.
Brady Blade & Friends: The iconic Shreveport drummer and producer comes home with a dynamic cast of global musicians.
Weekend Two (October 15th–18th)
Better Than Ezra: The LSU-formed alt-rock favorites are bringing their iconic post-grunge hits.
The Highland Collective: A massive, 3.5-hour Saturday night mega-concert featuring an entire generation of local songwriting royalty, including Dylan LeBlanc, Seratones, Maggie Koerner, The Lackadaisies, and The Peekers.
Shinyribs: The Austin-based swamp-funk supergroup fronted by charismatic Shreveport native Kevin Russell.
The Family: A raw, powerful powerhouse band featuring hit songwriters James LeBlanc, Angela Hacker, Dylan LeBlanc, and Bay Simpson from The Voice.
Windstorm: The legendary, 7-piece local soul-funk-R&B band that has been rocking Shreveport since 1983.
More Than Just Music
The celebration starts early on August 21st with the Reflections exhibit at Artspace, highlighting 50 years of the Revel, the Independence Bowl, and the Shreveport Regional Arts Council. You can also snag the official 50th-anniversary poster, hand-drawn by long-time Revel artist Stan Routh, which features the faces of the volunteers, directors, and artists who shaped the festival.
Throw in daily school field trip performances by Trout Fishing in America and new artist workshops in Caddo Schools, and this is officially going to be a historic year.
