Popular Restaurant with 8 Locations In Louisiana Files Bankruptcy
Well, Louisiana, it looks like a very popular sports bar and restaurant has just filed for bankruptcy protection. This restaurant is not just a familiar brand in Louisiana but worldwide.
This famous sports bar and restaurant is known for its signature orange and white uniforms and is the widely popular brand Hooters. The company was founded in 1983 and has been open for over 41 years now. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Hooters has more than 430 locations worldwide, 8 of which are in the state of Louisiana.
The eight locations in Louisiana include:
- Houma
- Metairie
- Siegen Lane, Baton Rouge
- Slidell
- West Bank, New Orleans
- Bossier City
- College Drive, Baton Rouge
- Denham Springs
The news broke this week that Hooters had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Hooters is known for its food, like its signature popular wings, cold beer, and the unique and sometimes questionable uniforms its wait staff wears while serving customers.
Hooters filed for bankruptcy, the company announced Monday. In the bankruptcy process, the company plans to sell all of its 100 company-owned restaurants to two franchisee groups that operate Hooters locations in the Tampa, Florida, and Chicago areas.
The company said it plans to exit Chapter 11 bankruptcy in “approximately 90-120 days". --CNN
