Local Downtown Lake Charles Restaurant Closes Its Doors
Well Lake Charles, looks like we just lost another great restaurant in Downtown. Scrolling through Facebook today I came across a post with kitchen equipment for sale. After further investigation I sadly realized that Botsky's ( A high quality purveyor of hot dogs + hamburgers) has closed its doors. Located at 104 W Pujo St, Lake Charles, LA 70601 it was a short walk for me when my office was located at the Capital One Tower. Many beautiful days were spent downtown enjoying the local restaurants and I for one am sad to see this one go.

After much thought and consideration, we have decided to close Botsky’s. We wanted to take a few minutes to share some thoughts with the community. The business was started in 2013 and has been a staple in the downtown Lake Charles community for over 10 years. This decision did not come lightly for us, and we have been blessed and are thankful for all of the employees who have worked with us over the years. Without all the dedicated help we would not have been able to operate as successfully as we have.
As life goes on, interests and circumstances change. We have especially enjoyed being part of the Lake Charles downtown small business scene, and have been blessed to have amazing and loyal customers. We have enjoyed hosting the run club and taking the hotdog cart out to various venues, including Holly Beach, Crying Eagle, various festivals, etc. We have enjoyed hosting private events for people during some of their biggest days in their lives from birthdays to graduations to wedding events. Most importantly, we have enjoyed seeing the smiles on people’s faces when the enjoy their favorite dog or burger.
We wanted to give all of our customers the heads up of the closing, so you all have the opportunity to come enjoy one last dog or burger at the shop. Our last official day will be April 14, 2024. We would love for the Botsky’s brand to continue in Lake Charles at some point. Whether it is reopening down the line or new ownership in a new location, we are open to whatever plan God has in store.
We have been blessed and proud to own a successful business like Botsky’s during this this time in our lives. Thank you all again for supporting local businesses and God Bless!
