Juanita’s Kitchen Announces Final Day in Sulphur
Sulphur, Louisiana - Some pretty sad news to report in the restaurant biz in Southwest Louisiana. A popular Sulphur restaurant has announced it is closing its doors at the end of the week. Juanita’s Kitchen announced that Friday, September 4, will be its final day open.

The restaurant shared the news on social media, thanking the Sulphur community for years of support, memories, and love.
“To our amazing Sulphur community: thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the support, memories, and love over the years,” the restaurant said in its post. “You have truly meant the world to us!”
Juanita’s Kitchen is located at 535 N. Cities Service Highway in Sulphur. The restaurant is encouraging customers to stop by one more time before it closes. Customers can order some of their favorite meals or book a table for one last visit.
For those who want one final meal at the Sulphur restaurant, Friday will be the last chance during regular hours.
With Juanita's sharing the news on Facebook early Wednesday morning, the news quickly brought a large reaction from people across the area. Many customers said they were sad to see the restaurant close and shared memories of eating there with family and friends.

Several people praised the restaurant’s breakfast, with one person calling it the “best breakfast in the area.” Others mentioned favorites like the country fried steak, omelets, and ribeye.
One customer said Juanita’s was their favorite place to eat, and another called it their regular Sunday breakfast spot after church.
The good news is, for anyone who has enjoyed the food at Juanita's over the last few years, Sulphur doesn't have to drive very far. A year or so ago, Juanita's opened a location in Ragley over near the overpass, located at 14088 US-171, Ragley, LA. As far as we know, that location will remain open.
