What Is the CPKC Holiday Train?
The CPKC Holiday Train is an annual holiday tradition that brings live music and Christmas lights to communities across North America. The train features a stage where professional musicians perform free concerts for people who come out to see it. Along the way, CPKC also donates to local food banks and encourages visitors to bring food or money to help people in need. The program began in 1999 and has collected more than $28.3 million and over 5.6 million pounds of food for community food banks in the United States and Canada.
This year's trip is part of the CPKC Holiday Train's annual journey across Canada and the United States. The train will visit 182 communities, including several making their first appearance on the holiday tour.
