Per a report from NOLA.com, Lake Charles COULD be getting an Andy's Frozen Custard!

Andy’s Frozen Custard is a popular dessert shop that specializes in rich, creamy frozen custard treats. Unlike regular ice cream, frozen custard is made fresh every hour using simple ingredients like cream, sugar, and vanilla, giving it a thicker and smoother texture. The menu includes everything from cones and sundaes to concretes, shakes, and seasonal favorites.

The company started back in 1986 in Osage Beach, Missouri, and quickly grew into a fan favorite. Today, Andy’s has more than 170 locations across 15 states. The brand focuses on high-quality ingredients, friendly service, and freshly-made desserts, which is why it has become one of the largest dessert-only chains in the country.

Lake Charles COULD Be Getting An Andy's Frozen Custard

A new report from NOLA.com says Andy’s Frozen Custard is planning to open a new location on the 1700 block of Country Club Road in Lake Charles.

If approved, the project will still need the green light from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. The developers will also need to follow any rules or upgrades required by local engineers.

The application was submitted by Chad Stevens, Vice President of Engineering with MR Engineering & Surveying. He says the new Andy’s location would be built next to the Dutch Bros Coffee.

If everything is approved, Stevens told NOLA.com that construction could begin in mid to late May, with the goal of opening in early fall.
