2026 Eunice Cajun Mardi Gras Entertainment Lineup Announced
Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM]- We are smack in the middle of the 2026 Mardi Gras season, and with that comes Mardi Gras balls, parades, concerts, and festivals across the state of Louisiana.
If you are not from Louisiana and you hear the word "Mardi Gras," we bet you automatically think of New Orleans and its Mardi Gras. You may not know that several cities and towns across the state of Louisiana also celebrate Mardi Gras, but their celebrations are a little different.
Most small Cajun towns have the traditional style of Mardi Gras, unlike the more commercialized version you see in New Orleans. These towns have chicken runs, people riding on horseback, and wear unique old school Mardi Gras outfits called a capuchon (pronounced cappy-shon).
These cone-shaped hats, often accompanied by fringed suits and mesh masks, are designed to conceal identity. It is something to see, and one place you will definitely see this is at this year's Eunice Cajun Mardi Gras Festival taking place in downtown Eunice, Louisiana.

The Eunice Cajun Mardi Gras Festival starts this year on Friday, January 13th, and runs through Tuesday, February 17th, 2026. It is five days of chaos, fun, hijinks, chicken runs, food, drinks, and great live music from authentic Louisiana Cajun music artists and bands. They have announced this year's lineup of music, and here it is.
