Family Daycare Home Food Program Now Available In SWLA

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury recently announced a new feeding program is now available for in-home daycare businesses. Family Daycare Home Food Program is made possible through the collaborative efforts of the CPPJ’s Human Services Department and the Louisiana State Department of Education.

The new program will help in-home daycares provide two meals and a snack, per child every day of care. According to reports, all in-home daycares must care for children 0 to 12 years of age and the property must meet State of Louisiana fire and safety standards. In addition daycare businesses in Calcasieu, Allen, Jefferson Davis, and Beauregard parishes are eligible to apply for the program.
